Future Roots
Local Food. Lasting Impact.
Sun Valley Institute for Resilience was doing ambitious, interconnected work across Southern Idaho's food system—but explaining that work simply was another matter. The organization itself identified the need for a clear, consistent message and a concise way to articulate its purpose.
Working alongside discovery sessions led by Creative Director Jennifer Bryan, I captured and synthesized hours of stakeholder interviews, workshops and board conversations, finding the common threads across a tremendous amount of input. From there, I translated what we heard into a strategic messaging foundation: a sharper articulation of what the organization did, why it mattered, who it served and where it was headed.
That foundational work guided everything that followed—from mission, vision and organizational priorities to the language and direction that informed the naming process and, ultimately, the Future Roots brand.
